US education, especially as a political topic, is a divisive issue these days…mainly due to the complexity of the problem. Where collaboration and teamwork should be the norm, most often we see a slugfest as different groups try to keep control of their piece of the puzzle. But I firmly believe that LIVE TOGETHER, DIE ALONE, is not just a great phrase to push plot development, but an axiom we need to embrace if we are going to turn the current situation around any time soon.

For now let me simply say to educators, parents, and to our civic leaders: Do not fail to view members of the video game community as potential partners in addressing the current educational crisis. If you do so, you are turning your back on a potential source of three valuable elements to any endeavor involving youth: money, creativity, and most importantly, the attention of the youth you are attempting to serve.
